The Road of the 1000 Kasbahs and the Dunes of Erg Chebbi

Duration 4 days

We drive through the canyons of the High Atlas, along the “Road of 1000 Kasbahs” and its impressive Gorges of Dades and Todra, passing the Rose Valley.  Later we arrive at the dunes of Erg Chebbi to mount them on the backs of our camels with an over-night stay in Berber tents.
To go back to Marrakech we will pass the impressive landscape of the Jebel Saghro and see the Kasbahs and oasis of the Drâa Valley. A visit of Ait Benhaddou and the Kasbah Telouet in the High Atlas will complete the tour.

Your Morocco short trip to the desert Erg Chebbi – The nomadic life of the Berber

Day 1
Drive from Marrakech to Ouarzazate and visit the Kasbah Amheridil at Skoura palmeraie – Later we pass the Valley of Roses and visit the cave nomads living there – Arrival at the Gorge of Dades with an over-night stay in the Gorge

Day 2
Drive to Todra Gorge and hike around – Visit Berber women wearing traditional stuff – Arrival in the afternoon at the dunes of Erg Chebbi – ride on the dromedairies into the dunes, overnight stay in a Berber tent

Day 3
After sunrise and breakfast in the dunes we go towards the Palmeraie of the Drâa Valley via N’Kob – Overnight stay at the Kasbah Oulad Othmane

Day 4
Drive back to Marrakech – Visit the Glaoui Kasbahs Ait Benhaddou and Telouet


– Car with driver guide (petrol included)
– Half-board in double rooms in traditional Ryads or Kasbah hotels
– Dromedary trekking in the dunes
– Overnight stay in a Berber tent in the desert with half-board
